Description

[OS] Ubuntu Linux

[Application] Thunderbird 3.1.13

I installed the add-on Google Contacts 0.6.37 (after also trying 0.6.36) on Thunderbird. It has added the Google contacts address book to Thunderbird and I can now see all my contacts; but for some reason, some Google contacts that have 2 email addresses, show both as the exact same one, their second one. So that means their first, main email address isn't the correct one. It seems to only have happened to those contacts that have both their email addresses starting with the same few letter(s).

Is it happen with all contacts having 2 email addresses?

And please, if you could, send me a XML file of a wrongly synchronized contact. You can get the file by following steps:

  1. reload contacts
  2. double click the card
  3. select "Google Contacts Details" tab
  4. click "View Source" button
  5. save the file and send it to azarasister at gmail.com

For your privacy, mask email addresses and phone number and something else. I only need to see the structure of the XML.

Thank you for sending XML. It's a bug. I'll fix it in the next update.

GC recognize email address with "primary=true" as primary email. And it recognize email address defined in 2nd position of the XML as additional email. So, if the "primary=true" address is defined at 2nd place, the primary and additional addresses become the same.

Fixed in 0.6.38b2. Please try it.
