! I can't remove the background color

Currently all my Tags have background color.

I uncheck the box "Change background color.." but the preview and Tags still have background color.

I disable the extension, but the Tags still have background color.

How can I remove the Tag background color?
Do I need to remove the Add-on? Would that even help?

I am running Betterbird portable v115.17.0 (on WIN 7 64 bit)

I forgot to add that I use Tag Popup v2.4.1

The option had a problem that it needed restart of Thunderbird. v2.4.6 fixes it.

Please note I do not test it with Betterbird. If it still happens only on Betterbird, I may not be able to fix it.
