! How to use "Delayed Sending"?

I have enabled "Delayed Sending" and put the button to the toolbar. When sending the badge of the button counts down, but I cannot cancel the sending: When I click on the button, the pop-up appears only very briefly – too short to be able to click on the "Cancel" button.
How do I cancel the sending during the "grace period"?

Cannot reproduced but changes in v2.1.4 may improve the situation.
If it still happens in v2.1.4 try "New window" option of popup mode.

I tried both: "New window" and "Popup". With both I get a very similar behaviour. The window/popup dialog appears a very, very short time and disappears immediately. If I press the "Check" button again, the window/popup dialog appears again for that very, very short time and immediately disappears.
If there is something else to check (e.g. an address), the window stays open and I can interact with it. If there is only the grace period active, I experience the above behaviour.
I have the mouse follow behaviour "Sloppy" enabled, which sometimes makes problems like this, so I switched to "Click". Unfortunately I get the same behaviour.

There is just one thing - but I guess, that's by design: If the delayed sending is the only "check", the Check dialog/popup shows for a fraction of a second and disappears. I have to press the Check button again to cancel sending (which now works). I wonder, if the dialog/popup should stay open for the period of the delay?
