! TB doesn't sync Google contacts with a single-character "date" field in birthday
:Priority:Normal

:Status:New:Status:Closed

:Version:GC 0.7.12
:Milestone:?
:Created:2013-09-23
!! Description
[OS] Windows 7
[Thunderbird] 17.0.8
[Google Contacts] 0.7.12
I noticed that changes made in TB to Google contacts with a single character in the "date" field in the birthday are not synced. For example:
Contact with no birthday --> OK
Contact with birthday "11.1.2013" (two characters in date) --> OK
Contact with birthday "1.1.2013" (one character in date) --> sync fails
I also looked at the XML sources, and found that it makes no difference if a single-character date is stated in the XML with a leading zero; the sync fails nevertheless. For example, the sync fails for the following though the date is given in the XML as "01":
<gContact:birthday xmlns:gContact="http://schemas.google.com/contact/2008" when="1948-05-01"/>
Please look into this issue!
Thanks and regards,
Jussi
