Tag Toolbar 0.8.35

Fault: When I turn "Search Tags" on and type a tag label (name) in the search box, nothing happens. The folder index remains exactly as it was.

Where are the instructions for using your add-ons? How can I use this add-on for filtering out all except the tags I want?

I have downloaded the manual and looked at the "search tags" instruction there. When I try to follow them:
(1) pressing the "search tags" button opens up a new data-entry box, but without the search icon shown in the manual
(2) I type a tag-name in that box and press the "search tags" button again:
   - the new data-entry box DISAPPEARS
   - otherwise nothing happens!!!!
