[OS] Windows 7 x64 [Application] Thunderbird 5.0 [Extensions] Lightning 1.0b4 [Extensions] LookOut 1.2.12 [Extensions] Provider for Google Calendar 0.8

The details of a contact won't propagate from Thunderbird to Google Contacts. Initially I added some contacts to the list. These have been added to google by batch synchronization. But then I changes some details (e.g. Phonenumber, Name, EMail, ...) and these changes aren't applied to Google Contactes despite the synchonization is successfull. Although the groups aren't in sync.

Ocassionally I changed the logon name of my google account and thus had to change the account in the addon. Could this be an issue?

The problem is even worse. The changes have been synchonized, but in the wrong direction. So the changes in the thunderbird contacts got overriden by the old google contacts.

I noted that sometimes contacts are updated and sometimes not after some detail change in TB, like phone number, has been made.

I am missing a synchronisation menu button that allows copying all contacts with a choice for each direction (to TB or google contacts). That way one can be sure that all changes are transferred.

When a contact is updated a comment appears in the message pane like "Google contact was updated". It would be nice to add a time stamp or even better the contact name (email address) to this message so one knows that indeed an update for a given contact was made. This message does not disappear when subsequent changes to other contacts are made and were not successfully updated.

I've not reproduced the issue yet but v0.6.37b1 may solve it.

v0.6.37b1 fixes a problem when your contacts data contain custom-labeled entities.

I've closed the bug. Reopen and this ticket if it is not fixed yet.
